Most parts of Washington State look like the following photo during the month of October. Scattered here and there however, you will find more traditional fall color like the photos below that I took while out walking today. . . .

Monday, I went with a group of about 40 from our church and hiked up to Heather Lake. As usual I brought my camera along and took the HDR photo below. This one was taken with 3 exposures 1.5 stops apart. I find the results of HDR beautiful, but they are so much work!
